Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6780282 times)

Turned a zombie dungeon into my first experience grinder today, pretty proud of it
On a friend's server, we've actually connected two dungeons from the bottom of them, to somewhat shape a Y with the dungeons at the tops of the two prongs. At the bottom, there was a water slide going to a lava blade, then an item collector (Tekkit mod, so Obsidian pipe picking it up and bringing it to our base). There's also a place to stand where the player can stand and stab at the enemy mobs. It's actually pretty neat, I'll take a picture when he puts the server back up. c:

is this a joke or
What does Javascript have to do with anything?

I always confuse Javascript with Java.

-snippity snap-

I started reading, and started to reject it.

I kept on reading, and I found out what an awesome idea that is.

Maybe rare ores, rarer than diamond. Maybe redstone in advance, like maybe a power source for something.

Something that could assist you, such as programmable guards, types of generators, advanced stuff.

Also, I had this idea the other day.

What if on hardcore mode, if evil mobs hear/see your fort, or something, there would be a random chance that you either,
a. get nothing
b.get a few mobs at your door
c. get a major mob attack

So you'd have to camouflage your fort with dirt, and such. And also prevent any torchlight from escaping.

I'd imagine this could get quite hard to code, however.

or do what i do.
Make a pit
Cover pit with dirt
Build house under it
???
Profit!

Main problem with content under bedrock is what do you use to stop people from falling into the void? If anything, there could be horizontal nether portals under bedrock, but even then it'd be bad.

I'm assuming you'd just shift the bedrock up a few levels to make room

Or shift the void down, if that's even possible

If you can dig through bedrock, what'll stop people from making holes to the void. Bedrock has a purpose.

Or make -Y chunks

What's wrong with making holes to the void

They appear naturally (albeit rarely) and you can blow open a hole with a tower of TNT that goes from floor to sky anyway

What's wrong with making holes to the void
falling in isn't that bad
as in
not game crashing or anything, it just kills you

I always wanted to have a sword in the stone kind of thing, so I put a fence, and a chest under the block it's in

but that kinda looks lame, anyone know a better way

Pixel art it in uber size

and you can blow open a hole with a tower of TNT that goes from floor to sky anyway

wrong

you cannot

wrong

you cannot

Guess I shouldn't listen to anything those abhorrent fake Englishmen say anyway
