Can I use MCPatcher?
magic launcher is nearly the exact same thing with tons more features and not having to edit your jar.

i would just use magic launcher over MCPatcher.

And when it is installed, what do I do when I download mods that need it?

Just download it normally and it makes it all magically better?

you go into setup and load your mod zips with the "add" button.

installed battle mod and boom, this.

i'm going to remove battlemod and try again

I'm being stupid again, but

setup what

oh, I was talking about modloader

Is there a way to launch different game versions in Magic Launcher?
Id like to be able to do that instead of changing my files around.

pretty sure you can change your jar with that "select" button there but i haven't really played with it so i'm not fully up to par on how it works, exactly

i imagine it launches the game with that jar directly instead of replacing files, like with the mods.

Im going to be buying the Xbox version on May 9th!

Plus my friends are getting it for Xbox to that another reason

console games can have dedicated servers
not sure how exactly it's done, but it is possible
and if it works by logging in with your MC account, chances are it'll use the associated skin

Nope.
No custom skins.

I would get it for PC but its just all around easier for me to get it for Xbox
