New Snapshot 12w18a:

-More fixes to silk touch and block picking
-Wooden tools work in furnaces
-Villagers spawned from spawning eggs will get a random profession
-Updated language files
-Miscellaneous editions

The download links are slightly different than prior Snapshots - the link below is the client ZIP, not JAR; it contains both client-side and server-side JAR files. The Server JAR link is as it has been for previous Snapshots.

Not sure why they made the Client link with a server jar.
EDIT: Oh, looks like we have single player servers. More proof of LAN support.
EDIT2: Also means pausing won't pause the game anymore...
...but if the game turned into servers...
...modders will have to make big changes in their code! D:

Just found out wood planks and logs now specify which tree they are from.
Ex: Oak Wood Planks.
The wood types:
Oak, Spruce, Jungle, Birch
EDIT: Creative Mode is failing on the single player server.

I'm assuming you've not played Minecraft much, as LAN servers are already 100% possible.

lol i got to the tropics zone in tropicraft in only 5 or so days
pretty long, but i had to go on a loving TWO DAY MISSION to escape the jungles. my beach was surrounded by them, and they were big as forget. finally got pineapples and a ton of ores in a giant ravine with mineshafts
then i traveled back, gathered my things, ventured to the tropics. had to build a shelter fast, wind picked up, leaves blowing everywhere, and a loving VOLCANO pooped out to the far left of my house and started shootin forgetin LAVA everywhere. my jungles are on fire :(

I got lucky, yet unlucky.
No nearby tropical villages, but tiki statue with diamond block eyes.
