Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 7012397 times)

Default money is ugly and needs to be improved(yes im aware its not even out yet but that stuffs ugly[on second thought though it could mean its made of redstone, due to the coloring. Redstone can be somewhat rare and to make a hard coin you would have to combine a decent ammount of it, so that could work out well actually.]).

They should make the money craftable, but somewhat expensive although equal to trading, like 1 iron plus 3 gold nuggets could be 1-5 coins, idk something like that. It'd be cool if the game could scan the village and see what they have around them, such as the biome, crops, and animals. Maybe even give villages their own little animal farm that is generated by the natural landscape and wild life. Make them harvest their wheat, kill off some animals(however you wouldnt be able to kill their animals or harvest their crops without invoking their anger.), and depending on how much they have of something price could be adjusted, for example if they have a lot of cows leather and beef would be worth less since they have that already, just in live cow form. The same would go for crops and items. however the only problem I can think of is how would ores have their value checked, same for coal and charcoal.Tthey could make it fairly complex, but rewarding. Maybe villages could even have random quests that appear every few minecraft days or something, making sticking around have meaning giving a new way to make the game more rpg like and possible boss battles or dungeons. Possible rewards would be awesome too, like unique items and enchantments, or just a lot of money.

wall of text aaaa

That's not a redstone coin.

btw the current coin texture is kinda ugly so I'm going to make a new one

just saying its possible that it could be redstone packed together and hardened via a furnace, like you pack 4 redstone or so together and then place it in the furnace for one coin. something thats somewhat usefull but not really all that usefull could be turned into currency.

playing this ant farm surv map(youre trapped in a bedrock ant farm[the texture pack has the bedrock as glass] and i found a skeleton spawner and i made this into an exp farm of sorts, they drop 14 blocks(which isnt enough to make them one hit, someone tell me that number please lol) and i kill them with my diamond sword. anyway ive gotten 5 bows total from these guys, 4 enchanted and 1 normal. dayum.

Pretty sure it's a ruby or something.

woo! 5555

celebratory new images

Although I hope it's not so I can retexture it to a gold coin.

you could retexture it anyway, like make the ore a type of box or crate that drops the coins lol
Ah.

Also
that looks really nice actually. are you going to be doing alternate textures for your texture pack? i havnt been keeping up with it. it looks nice and i think i might use it whenver its done, assuming it isnt right now because like i said, having been kepeing up

Good idea, thanks.

Actually I haven't been doing much of anything with my texturepack. Too many other things going on.

Although once I get around to it, I'll be retexturing the ugly parts of it that I didn't like.

But I was going to give the texture to the minecraft devs or something and see what they think.

ok then.

try making it a little skinnier, akin to the rubbies in LoZ, they look kinda weird in game.

make that 6 5(i accidently counted the one i crafted oops) bows. two unenchanted.

You mean rupees?

You mean rupees?

yeah. i forgot how it was spelled so i just kinda sounded it out lol, i think itd look best if it was kinda small, a bit bigger than the gold nugget, and i meant just thinner in general btw, not too a point. its great work though

I'm gonna make them gold :/
red coins are uuuuuugly

plus
imagine finding a crate in the middle of the ground on your mining trip!

The problem is that the smaller it is, the harder it is to put good detail into it.

I'm starting to think they're jewel coins.

Thinking of tweeting one of the devs that are working on this saying something about how different colored coins you find underground have more value.

A red coin is worth one red coin, a blue coin is worth two red coins, a green coin is worth five red coins and a yellow coin is worth ten red coins.

ididnt think of it like that actually, i see what you mean, i took my hand at (very quickly that is, i didnt spend more than 15 minutes on it) making my gold sword a hidden blade because i figured i could do weapons as theyre pretty simple, it was hard as hell lol

is there a mod that makes it to where bricks are easier to make? i hate getting 16 every 64 clay.

this post was my 9704th post. i wish i would have noticed before because 7093 is my id, and 9703 would have been it just rearranged.

id love the use of multiple coins, i put that in my big post about the coins but i took it out because so far its just a concept
