Has anyone actually finished minecraft here by himself legitimately in singleplayer?
I almost did it once but I ragedeleted my world after finding 2 strongholds both without portals.

That's easy. Just branch mine if you can't find any in caves.
The problem for me is Endermen decide to not spawn when I'm actually hunting them. Otherwise they spawn all the goddamn time.

Also, you don't even need diamonds to beat the game. ;D

you don't need diamond armor, all you need is to put some iron golems in the end to kill the endermen before they forget with you.

True. True...
1. I did some brach mining, but I was very unlucky and never found diamonds doing so.
2. The same happens for me. Good thing I had Looting II on a diamond sword.
3. I took a challenge and fought him with iron armor instead.
