I ignored Minecraft up until Gamefandan's Minecraft stream of the 1.8 leak, where he explored a Mineshaft for the first time.

there's a reason why it's called a development snapshot hurr
are you expecting a non-tested release to be bug-free and optimized? that's the entire point of why they started using snapshots

lolnope
only makes it for the latest main (1.2.5, 1.3, 1.3.1, 1.3.2, etc.) updates

I only joined Minecraft during the 1.8 leak. :panda:
that makes it worse

cool, animated gears that could have been used to make windmills and things turned into a dust that has overly complicated mechanics and has no practical use

I feel like he could've gone further with the gear mechanic than redstone

I mean the things that can be made with redstone are cool but serve no practical use, IE a door mechanism that looks cool but can be torn down by your average starfish on SMP

but traps :ccc

but traps :ccc

some of the most effective traps barely even need redstone, just place a tripwire or a pressure plate and some tnt under it and you have a trap

Effective traps usually don't even move, a hole in a dark hallway is an example of a great trap.
