I never really understood what would be interesting about a convention surrounding only 1 game. Like Blizzcon was only about blizzard games but they had more than 1 game. Quakecon is about all isn't about that many games but it is also a massive LAN party. The only thing that was appealing at all to me about Minecon was the deadmau5 concert, and the only thing this one really has going is it's at disneyland.

Also it isn't a competitive game so it doesn't even have the excitement of a tournament.

Why is an area named Times Square? Times Square originally was a generic term? Because Disney didn't do a good job replicating it. I've been to Times Square a ton of times, and those straight angles... nope.
