is it just me or are cauldrons absolutely worthless?

it's much easier to have a source block to fill an infinite number of bottles with than a cauldron that constantly needs to be refilled

yeah i never really understood the purpose of cauldrons
they look kinda neat but they're really dumb

all they'd have to do is make it so you can fill bottles with it indefinitely and it'll at least be a glorified water source block

apparently it also washes dye off of leather armor but I don't know anyone who uses that in survival anyway
