If I hosted some sort of FTB server, would anyone join in? I'm trying to gauge interest.

Sure, I did enjoy your last vanilla server for the time I was on it and I think it'd be the same here.

Just please don't go too far back in the minecraft version if you can.

I'm fine with 1.7.10, 1.5.2, 1.4.7, 1.2.5, and 1.8.1b

help, what block that has preferably slabs and stairs, would go good as walls for this set up
currently Im looking at spruce, but wondering if anyone has any other suggestions

also they need to add vertical slabs already

Stone bricks usually go well with wood and logs. Also, what resource pack is that?

So what new stuff has been added in the last few patches? Haven't played this game in years.

with all this fleshing out I'm surprised the game isn't just a polymorphous pulsing blob

holy stuff what shader is that?

well this is what its ended up as

Not too bad, I like the path.

=\

You usually mix cobblestone and gravel. Not cobblestone and stone bricks.

I just spent like 6 hours total on making portals that you can turn on and off with buttons
The first one is 11x8x7 total space, but you can see into it. My second one you can't and it turned out to just be 11x7x6. If anyone's interested I can show them off, but to be honest near the end I just tried stuff until it worked.
Also even though I really wanted them to be totally sustainable eventually the flint and tinder in one of the dispensers will run out, and there's no way to deal with that in vanilla other than to feed in a ton of new ones, which I don't really want to waste space on.
