It's probably just some kind of joke that does nothing.

If looking in the client-sided scripts, yes, it does nothing. But the user's preferences are syncronized with the RTB Connect server, so technically it could be doing anything.

Ephi also said at some point he'll remove the ability to change it.

So you better decide if you want it on now.

Is there any way to view a changelog of a file from ingame?

RTB just caused a crash for me.
I tried looking in console, and all I saw was getSubStr error spam.
I didn't notice much, but the BackTrace contained "xmlParser".

I'll get back to you if it happens again.

needs a damn mute button.
i mean, really.

Not yet, people keep requesting it and I keep agreeing it's a good feature to have then I forget. I'll definitely put this in for 4.1.

Lots of people have reported this but I need a trace(1) of it happening or I can't fix it. I've had no luck trying to replicate it so far.

For chat rooms?

It would be nice if it could be formatted like the one for slayer.

Hard to replicate and trace something that happens unexpectedly and is an infinite loop.

Yeah, I understand. If it's happening regularly just play BL with trace enabled.

I'd love to fix this but I can't find any means by which to replicate it so I have to rely on other people grabbing a trace of it happening.

Does it happen during game lag? I'm thinking perhaps Torque is messing up and not delivering packets to the tcp object or something due to the lag which throws the buffer off and blows everything up - but I can't be sure yet.

It usually happens as I'm starting a server.
When I start a server I like to immediately go and do something else, and then when I go back to it, it's not responding. I look at the console and the XMLParser is stuck in a loop.

I'll try starting servers while tabbed out of the game later and see if I can replicate this.

I think it might also have something to do with messaging.  Not completely sure, but when a few people message me at once, it seems to happen.

Users aren't required to break down their changesets into specific groups etc. if that's what you're referring to. They just get a text box to write whatever.

Am I the only person who dislikes the new user interface? It does look nice and shiny and all, but having a separate window for every chat tends to get quite messy. I'd rather see a tabbed interface like in RTB 2.0-3.5's IRC.

Also, I'd also like to see some changes done to the add-on manager. The system works pretty well, but the design could be better. Small, gray text on a light-grey background isn't very easy to read, especially not on my dedi's CRT monitor.
