Author Topic: PS3 or X360?  (Read 3591 times)

Wait a minute. Sony has come out with 4 successful game consoles, Not relevant and at the time the Playstation 1 was pretty much the top graphic game console you could get. Again, not relevant. I think your theory of 360 ports is bullstuff. And the Playstation 3's release was quite some time later so they must have put better video cards and whatnot in, True, but in what instances have you seen it fully utilized? Actually, it doesn't even matter, because at the end of the day, the PS3 and 360 are both using obsolete hardware compared to PC's. and considering if you are going to get a bluray player, Ps3 is the obvious choice. Too bad nobody currently gives a stuff about bluray.

Ps3's don't breakdown as much as thee Xbox's. Opinion. There's no point in saying this. I could just as easily say that I still have my Xbox and my second-gen 360. I still have my ps1,ps2, and ps3 and none except the ps1's CD holder has broke. However my Xbox has had a ton of problems a week or two after I bought it. You can get them fixed for free, I don't see how this is an issue unless you're pressed for time for some reason.

Xbox 360 has a great community and has a stuff-load of games and all but in a year or so the Playstation 3 will be what the Xbox360 is now due to the time of the system releases. This doesn't matter. Good for the PS3 users. However this statement serves no point as it in no way affects 360 users.

I'm not trying to pick a side here, I'm trying to be realistic. I really wouldn't care if someone bought a PS3 instead of a 360. It's their choice. I just can't stand when people try to make one of them sound superior.

I only have a 360.

I'd actually say PS3, to my knowledge, it has much better exclusives. It's also seemingly much less buggy, has free internet, and is much more powerful.

But the X-Box on the other hand has a much larger community, therefore you have a much larger chance of being able to play with your friends.

Go computer, Woo!

I need a super-computer.  Or at least a computer devoted to gaming and almost nothing else.

The most FPS I get on Blockland right now is 30-50. :/

I have a cheap $60 8600GT and I get about 70fps if not more in most situations above 3000 bricks.

don't you mean $600?

if not, tell me where you got a computer that cheap.

Please?

I get about 150+ FPS in Team Fortress 2 on a 32/32 server in the middle of the fight.

And actually always over 200/300+ fps on a empty Blockland server. Yet it's always over 100 with bricks. Not even events can drop my fps under 100.

don't you mean $600? No, I mean sixty. Note this is just the video card alone.

if not, tell me where you got a computer that cheap. Build it. My computer cost about $350-400

Please?

PS3 and Xbox do have great graphics, but really, I would have to say PS3 has better. I have an Xbox, yes. Not a PS3.
PS3's gaming is a little more difficult for some people only because they are not use to it. Like me.
PS3 doesn't have as big of a variety of games as the Xbox.
PS3 doesn't have a lot of online games. Besdies MAG, which will be epic.
I would say Xbox.

They're both really good in my opinion, they should do a mix, I'd go with the PS3 though, since the Xbox 360 is getting a little outdated.

The second PS3 allows backwards compatibility is when I will start to consider buying one. I'm just a heavy Grandia fan. Otherwise, all the games I like for it I can get for 360. That's the only thing stopping me.

I'm just a heavy Grandia fan.
I liked the original. Never played any of the sequels.

Also I like PS3, myself. My brother had a 360 for a short while but we all liked the PS3 more.

I have a PS3, and I love it's exclusives. The online gaming is comfortable, same as the controller. I have only had 1 or two connection problems, which were both on LBP. Plus I can play movies in HD. :D The only thing I really don't like is when it starts getting hot the fan that turns on is noisy, it takes about 5-8 hours to make it have to turn off though.

I'd go with a PS3, even though I don't have a 360.
