Like someone said earliar, the L4D Demo was more of a "gift". Maybe we CAN launch the demo and use online capabilities when the full game is out.

They really should keep the demo. So people wouldn't waste money on L4D2 if they don't like it.

I also hated how the melee weapons replaced your pistol

also shotgun seems to have 1/2 ammo while machine guns have 2x

Why would you trade in a pistol with unlimited ammo (which might I add, can have a firerate like an SMG if you mash the trigger/mouse button fast enough) for a frying pan?

It's just plain dumb.
