General Discussion / Anyone seen the keyboard/dinner plate brickpack?

There were brickpacks on RTB that contained a keyboard and a dinner plate, and several other things but I haven't seen them around on any of the archives.
Would anyone happen to know where these brickpacks are?

Suggestions & Requests / Paneless Window Frame bricks

Ever since v21 came out (or so), FX bricks and emitters appear transparent through windows.

This is particularly problematic when you have things that are designed to have windows and then FX bricks behind them (such as the red alert things in Star Trek TOS)

So, I was wondering if it would be feasable for someone to take window brick packs like this:

...and make versions of the window bricks without the glass panes in them (but still have raycasting and collision where the pane was). If this could be done it would enable us to have window frame bricks that we can actually see stuff through.

If anyone would be interested in doing this (I will owe you one) then please let me know.

Tingalz or someone else made a Photon Torcreep projectile a while back and I'm trying to find it. I already checked the RTB archives and searched all over the forum for it but couldn't find any trace of it. Anyone able to help?

Its addon name is "Projectile_PhotonTorcreep".

Help / Can't use custom colorsets when starting a server

I somehow don't have the "colorsets" tab in the server launch menu. I have Trueno's colorset and want to use it but I can't find the colorset tab anywhere.

General Discussion / Something's wrong with the Renderman mod

For some reason now the Renderman mod just... isn't scary.

Beforehand the mod would have a singular renderman chasing you down, but now it just spams Renderman moving along invisible rails along the map around you, not even chasing you, and well that's just not scary at all. Any chance this will get fixed so that Renderman will actually chase people again like he used to?

General Discussion / Planrs gonna get back into Blockland again

Yep. Its been about 3 years since ive really played this game. For a long time I had been more interested in StarMade but to be honest that game has been far more frustrating to play than Blockland ever has, in different ways though. Ive had a nostalgia epiphany this morning and so Ive decided I should devote myself to enjoying this game again.

I see that TheArmyGuy still plays BL and makes cool atuff so thats awesome.
There still appears to be a "good server epidemic" which was one main reason why I stopped playing for a while. I still miss terrains and interiors like crazy but its been 4 years and they arent coming back. I can get by though.

Im looking to get back into spacebuilding and tower construction immediately. I no longer have any of my old Blockland saves and addons ever since I wiped my old blockland files a long time ago, so I am starting totally fresh.

I also really want to make and then host some Spaceship/Space Station creeper gamemodes. Those were the stuff back in the day and I am hopeful the creeper mods still work.

Im also interested in making soundpacks again. I still have a ton of soundpacks I made years ago (star trek ones) and I also made a ton of music loops. I hope though to keep my addons list short and sweet so people dont have to endure long-ass downloads on my server.

If anyones interested in hanging out and doing some building (no richard towers lol) then hit me up on Steam (Planr/plantblockland) and ill add you. Some friends to build with is always nice, lol.

Off Topic / OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) not working on Windows 8.1

I can't get OBS to record my screen on Windows 8.1. Every time I try, I just end up recording a black screen. It's not recording any sound either. Despite this, OBS tells me it's recording sound when running, but when I go to check the file, it's just a black screen with no sound.

Anyone able to help?

I can't find the names of the music pieces in this old video and I want to get them on the iTunes store. Anyone able to help me out?

I already checked out that "immediate music" channel which is linked to in the descrption, but none of the music pieces I found are the ones in the video. These ones date back around 10 years probably but iTunes sucks for finding good music cause it wont organize searches by date, so I can't find it. Anyone able to help?

Off Topic / Headphone sound not working on ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS74 Gaming laptop, win 8.1

So suddenly this morning when I go to use my computer, I realize the sound isn't working for the headphones. I thought maybe it was just the specific heatphone set I was wearing, so I tried some other ones around my house and none of them worked either. Without any headphones plugged in I can hear whatever's playing through the computer speakers just fine, but when I plug in headphones, no sound will come through them. I already checked the volume mixer and it is turned up high enough, and it's not muted.

Off Topic / So apparently downtown San Antonio TX has the worst internet speeds in the U.S.

My family is in San Antonio, Texas, for today and tomorrow, and for some reason the internet here in downtown san antonio is absolutely terrible. I can't upload images to my Imgur because the upload speed is so bad that the image just stops at 5% into the upload and then gives me a red message saying "image failed to upload".

When I try to run a speedtest on speedtest.net, it thinks i'm in Richardson, Texas, which is really far away, and runs a speedtest from a local server there.
I get this result.


So I tell speedtest to run from a server in San Antonio, since that's where I am, and it won't even complete the speedtest. It starts going really fast, then slows to a crawl and won't finish the upload portion of the speed test.


I have no idea how I was able to coax Imgur into uploading that last image, but I personally consider it a miracle. The internet here is just awful.
