I wanted to start using tumblr and I needed some mutuals.
Then I remembered a bunch of you guys use tumblr and there used to be a huge thread for it.
So, I decided to make a new one and not copy the old list because a lot of those users probably aren't active anymore.

Spear Spleef DM 2



Remember this? Well I made a new one.

My old Spear Spleef DM gamemode was a gamemode in which you use spears to knock down platforms and kill players like a regular spleef gamemode. The only thing different was the addition of other weapons to make it more like a regular DM.

This new version has...

• Multiple layers of platforms!
• Environment lava instead of bricks!
• Larger walls so you can no longer escape the arena by rocket jumping!
• 16x16 spawn areas that cannot be destroyed!

When you start, you will have a bow and a sword. On the map, you can find spears, guns akimbo, and a rocket launcher. These items' respawn times correspond to how valuable they are. Spears respawn in 15 seconds, guns akimbo respawn in 30 seconds, and the RL respawns in 60 seconds.

The two starter weapons aren't very useful. Lucky for you, there are spears near the spawn points! The guns akimbo are on the top level, which is accessible from the sides of the arena.

Getting the RL in the center of the arena can quickly turn the game around in your favor, but be careful! the platform in the middle is dangerous!

While the RL can't destroy platforms like the spear, it can easily throw people around and knock them into lava. You can also rocket jump around the arena to quickly get away from trouble. If you're skilled enough, you can even save yourself with a rocket jump after falling into the lava!

This gamemode doesn't require any addons. It only uses defaults.

Off Topic / I got four old Desktop computers, what do I do now?

My boss gave me a bunch of old computers that he had lying around.

I already used two of them. One's a web server and the other one is a Minecraft server. (My cousins wouldn't shut up about making a Minecraft server so I decided to just give them what they want) They're both running Debian 8.

The two unused ones aren't that impressive. They were both shipped with Windows XP to give you an idea of how old they are. One thing that stands out is that one of them has a 1TB hard drive. They both have 4GB of ram. Neither one has an OS currently installed because they were wiped to protect client data that was on them.

Anyone have any ideas?

Games / Demo codes for LOZ: Triforce Heroes are being distributed

Apparently I've been selected to get three demo codes for Triforce Heroes.
There's only co-op in the demo and you can only access online on certain days.
Did anyone else get these?

It looks like an android app in my browser.

So you can subscribe to games as well as people with this new site.
Games you're subscribed to are on the left, while channels are on the right.
This actually looks like it would be nice to use on a tablet or something.

Holy stuff.
Before I moved, it was ~2Mbps.
Just to test it out, my dad rounded up all the mobile devices in our house and streamed from various websites. (Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc.) Every single one of them was at the max resolution for each service without buffering in the middle, and I was torrenting two versions of Kubuntu at max speed the whole time.
This is good.

Games / C++ port of Minecraft PE for Windows 10

They're attempting to revive Minecraft by making an OS exclusive version on an OS that can already play the definitive version of Minecraft.
The only way anyone will ever buy it is if it had stuff that's exclusive to that version, and that would just piss everyone off.

It will apparently be closer to the mobile edition than to any other, as it will have features from that game, optional touch controls, and you can play multiplayer with people playing the mobile edition.
