I tried dumping and claiming all of their items via the stocks menu, but the dwarves still won't do anything with them. I think I'm just going to set up an execution system and use that.

DESIGNATION - DUMP/RECLAIM ITEMS

HIT DUMP ON THE CAGES

THE DWARFS WILL THEN BRING THE CAGES TO YOUR DUMP ZONE (IF YOU MADE ONE IF NOT MAKE ONE)

THEN GO TO DEGSINATION AGAIN AND HIT RECLAIM THE CAGES

they'll go back to normal stockpiles and items will be lying on the ground

in 40d to remove items from caged goblins you would designate a dump on the tile the cage is on, go to k and undo the dump on the cage itself and then they would dump all off the goblins items
