Author Topic: Do real gamers care about graphics?  (Read 17791 times)

No
If all he plays is Call of Duty games than he would be a CoDcigarette.

What is graphics? The resolution and shininess? Or the art of creating a visual environment to fit the gameplay?
I've been ignored in two topics about my little questions here.

I thought he said all he plays is call of duty 1

1st make this topic a poll

2nd If you care about graphics you not a real gammer

He said ANYONE who plays cod, regardless of if they play a variety of games or not, isn't a gamer. That's is why I said "Reword it" And if you read, most of these people her who consider themselves real gamers comment about Minecraft.
But who actually said that Minecraft is required if you want to call yourself a gamer? Packer said "variety of games," you said "[variety] of games," so you meet the description of a gamer at least by his standards. It's pretty obvious that he meant people who play COD exclusively were the ones he didn't like, so asking him to reword that would be justified, more so if you were a bit more specific.

I think its because they fear if they say anything that is not identical to your ideal answer you would smite them into an eternal darkness.

Or perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention on the internet?

I play a game for the reasons that the designers wanted me to have.  If a game developer wanted me to enjoy a game for the graphics (Crysis), then they are important.  If the reason to play a game is to have fun, then I will have fun.

Gameplay thats what i like

>Currently playing STALKER Call of Pripyat, a DX11 game, on my DX9 system with pretty dated hardware.

Looks like stuff but I'm having one hell of a time.... When it isn't crashing because it's terribly unstable on my barely adequate system  :cookieMonster:

i wouldn't call anyone who plays 1 game a gamer. regardless what that game is or how obsessive he is over it.
in fact i hate people like that.

One of my friends thinks the Xbox 360 is a god because it has the "best graphics ever"

Seriously, he bought one on sunday, and he loving worships it. I loving hate him alot, he says he has the "ADD that mkaes u smrtear" but all it does is make him really stupid.

I thought he said all he plays is call of duty 1
I just noticed that could be taken in two ways.

1. Call of Duty is the only game he plays.
2. Call of Duty is the only game in the series that he plays.

If you had some sort of DX11 supercomputer and a game with pretty good graphics and gameplay you could probably shut him up pretty quickly.
STALKER CoP is a pretty safe bet, looks better than anything I've ever seen on the 360 when you turn up the graphical settings as far as they'll go and it has the gameplay to match, if you're into that sort of thing....

Like me

Is what I meant, I thought it made perfect sense at a glance

It does make perfect sense. There's no way at all to turn his post into 1.

Graphics are great. Gameplay is better.

To care most about how appealing it seems to the eyes and not to actually try to see if you enjoy it that's fine with me. But to completely IGNORE when given the chance to learn more about what you don't find visually appealing, that really 'grinds my gears'.
