It's true. The devs stopped all work on the PC version.
Console versions of Terraria get stuff that PC versions don't.
That is not a good business practice. I would advise that you not buy it.

Such a shame. This game always looked good to me, but my old computer couldn't run Steam, so I couldn't play it. And when I finally get a new one, the updates stop.

Its sad, that terraria doesn't get anymore updates. I'm myself a veteran terraria player, I bought it at the same day it was released. If you would still want to experience the fun and something similiar, try Starbound.

Starbound is a game, very similiar to terraria, where you, are a space adventurer or something.
You arrive to different planets, with different NPC's (Each planet is UNIQUE).
Wanna know why I suggested this?


List of similiar things with terraria

-Same block/chunk system
-Same water physics
-Similiar art style

The artist of terraria, Tiy, is now working on starbound, which means that the style will be similiar.

Starbound is literally a "higher" quality version of terraria with Literally Millions of different weapons
And, the big part.
The game has races.
Etc. Robotic, Avians (Birdish people), Cannibal Race, and Human race.
You can customize on how you look, and you can get some gear.

Incorrect. The water physics are better in Starbound. There is actual pressure.
