Offering 2 plat, one each for armor polish and the cross necklace thing.

Just made a new world + a med-core character with meteor armor, a stargun, the space gun and a hamaxe to replace the starting axe.

Already delved into a few underground houses in some frozen caves and got an Ice Machine and a sawmill.

I'm really doing this so a). I can understand what some of you other guys are struggling with (again) and do a semi-NPE

and b). cus Spaceman is love. Spaceman is life.

Look at those drop rates.

Now cry with me when I tell you I've gotten 4 beam swords and a banner, and I still have not gotten armor polish.

I actually would cry except I poop polish.

Also, F-F-F-forget mediumcore. Spent til 12 trying to track all my stuff after I died in the dungeon.

Oh god.

Its time for Plantera...

On second thought, should I wait to finish my Ankh Shield before I fight it?

It'd probably be best to do so.  Having an Ankh Shield means no other debuffs to worry about while fighting Plantera.

You discovered the Jungle Temple yet? If you carve an area out around the whole of that then you have a very good area to run around when Plantera chases you. Just don't get too far away or it'll leave and you'll have to hunt out another flower.

You could try flying over and under it deftly after luring it to the surface. (Shoot at it or something while you're ascending a tunnel you made right above the bulb)

We tried luring Plantera to the surface, but we had difficulty with one of us either getting trapped while trying to escape, or getting too far away from Plantera at any one point.
And if you rooster-up then you'll have to dig another tunnel down to your new bulb. I found it easier to move underground heading downwards instead of upwards, so it was easier for us to get to the dungeon wherever we were.
But it might just depend on what your Jungle looks like. Ours was pretty tight and twisted near our entrance, but was open down near the dungeon, letting us get there easily.

The bonus of making a path around the Dungeon though is that you can make the path tight enough for you to move in, meaning Plantera can't always get close and attack you with it's head. So if you have a lance weapon then you can damage plantera while they're in the walls.

We took a few tries to finally take out Plantera, but once we did it we got really comfortable with it, and have been able to take out Plantera really quickly each time afterwards.

well the first problem could be solved by make a 4 block wide hole, which should be easy to do with at least to people, but whatever works I guess
