If you build a giant room then section it off into smaller rooms it just counts as one big room. So one person will live in the entire building.

just stand still, it will summon eye of cthulu or eater of worlds.

Anyone got any idea how many nights it takes for the Cthulu Eye to spawn after you get the Evil Presence message?

It normally takes two or one minute.
