Considering of buying this since it looks slightly more exciting than Minecraft.

Yes, it is worth the money. It's exciting because of it's many things you can do and acquire, such as diverse armour and weapons.

No, it does not rely on the MP to be enjoyable, that just adds to the fun even more.

how are you going to get to the recharge areas?

Even with rocket boots and the Door-grab trick, you will only get like 1/4th to each recharge station

or am i missing something

With 3 recharge rings and a suit of jungle armor you can actually overshoot each station with about 3 stars to fill.

You move much faster than hermes boots speed and it only takes about 10 seconds at each station to recharge your mana.
