Mining hellstone is... Well, hell. It was bad enough dealing with the existing lava and needing an obsidian skull all the damn time, but now with the added starfishs and the lava-spawning hellstone it is absolute chaos getting even a small amount. I wish I'd made molten armor sooner.

HellBats and FireImps are much worse now that demon's don't really spam their spells.

Good thing I mined some before the patch. B)

A good strategy to get hellstone is to bring some sand, you can drop it as lava pours into a pit from the mined hellstone. (Or put sand above the hellstone, and it will drop over any lava generated by the next blocks.)
