Nope, the santa got removed with an update.
You'd have to downgrade terraria.

No he didn't.
They just added a script so when the time comes santa dies, he comes back at rhe 15th of dec.

Santa's still around, but only spawns properly between the 15th and 31st of December. If use a snowglobe on a world which has never seen Santa he will keep spawning and instantly dying if you have a free housing space.

On that note, is the date linked to the player's computer clock, or is it linked via Steam? If the former is the case then theoretically you could have Christmas every day.
