Author Topic: Kerbal Space Program, Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love THRUSTERRRSSSS  (Read 347225 times)

Oh god the music!
It hurts!

Anyway, after some collaberation with Gojira over Skype, I think i have fixed the FTL JD.
testing soon.

Lol.
a little warning for the engine above, it gives 100k max thrust.
I would test it myself, but this toaster of mine does not like KSP much, and runs too slow to get into orbit without a mishap.
If any of you would be kind enough to post your tests with the part...
EDIT:
tested, V2 produces no thrust at all.
presumably, V1 would have also.
welp i downloaded V2. testing soon

WELP, after having my mainsail to get the ship into orbit explode, the engine did nothing. guess it wasn't just you...

i can't belive kerbalspaceport has no FTL engines.

testing V3 now.
will release if fixed.
EDIT:
Testing end.
will restart later today, if I can get off the launch pad.
my rocket is too large.

Bump, tested V3, burned Element Z too fast, making a slow Element Z generator.
tests will contine with the Puddle Jumper(lol, StarGate Atlantis Ref.), a space plane aided by 6 Voidjet engines, If I'm asked enough I will release them, and an experimental Anti-Gravity device.(plugin powered.)

Does anyone know how to make a new crew member for the SPH or VAB?

Pretty sure you have to make a ship, get it off the launch pad/runway, then get your other ship/spaceplane and then switch flights, EVA some of the guys into the other ship.

That sucks.
EDIT:
Element Z generators still unconfirmed as to weather or not they work.
possible test craft switch soon.
EDIT2:
No craft switch, still unconfirmed.

They had something called that in a mod somewhere. I tested it out, it's not real FTL but it can make you leave the atmosphere fast.

I might release this if I can get it to work.
EDIT:
Skype me if you guys want to test.

EDIT2:
FTL Drives on the back burner for now.

Ignore this bump, simply observe the above.

I'm very proud to announce the Fairing Factory. this is a website that will let you edit a shape, and cut it into sections, and then produce a kit of fairing pieces for you.

[SPOILER='This is one of my attempts to create a fairing for my craft']

Alright 1000+ fairing kits made and no crashes! The Python gods are smiling on me today.
But as always, if's not working for you, just let me know here and I'll have it fixed soon

JDP has written an awesome plugin that keeps your fairings stable! He has asked me to distribute it with fairing kits.
Place the dll in your plugins folder.

Got to Moho going 24,000 meters per second, no way in hell I could have slowed down in time but I saw mojo up close even though I wanted to land.

Bump.
this game is still terribly optomized.
If its the math calculations always running, then they should make them erase them selves after a short time, to keep RAM usage low.

I don't know what you mean, the game runs perfectly fine all the time for me.
