Always use symmetry building, even if its a tiny piece.
You rather have two thermometers then a shuttle tipping over.

you're telling me, even the tiniest stuff like THAT will tip it over?

oh my loving g

Happened to me, so I use symmetry no matter what.
Also don't forget to turn on sas, and rcs if you really need it.

Use symmetry for very large parts like engines, struts, fuel tanks, command pods, and the like. You don't need to worry about batteries, solar panels, or science instruments

If a slight aerodynamic instability is wrecking havoc on you, you need a bit more practice.
Oh, are you using Ferram Aerospace?

it's not like i'm a handicap pilot.  i've flown stuff to the moon and back before.

noticed this was a trend with hex-rockomax based rockets, where i had 6 rockets along 1 central rocket.  gonna try 4 rockets later another day to see if it's just the hex-based rockets that are problematic.

I'm hosting a KMP server. Get the mod here (back up your saves and such) http://kerbalspaceport.com/kmp-client/
Just toss the client files into your ksp directory.

ip: 99.119.4.39
port: 2076
Server is going to be open tonight through most of tomorrow. Let me know if there are any issues.

the whole symmetry thing isnt the issue.
as far as im concerned i usually have this problem when my rocket really is too top heavy.
adding some control surfaces under the centre of mass usually helps, and keeping the centre of mass as low as possible helps too. Try to keep the CoM within each stage. (like with a big orange tank launch stage, keep the CoM somewhere in there)

those usually keep the thing from being tippy.

Ok so this is what you are all doing wrong.
This is what a stable, powerful rocket looks like.

what if i did use this to go to duna tho

are you using struts to secure the top to the lower stages and sas modules in the unstable part? it might help

This really, I was going to say this a couple of days ago, but forgot.

Also, I made a ship inspired by the hubble telescope.
I'll post a picture of it later when I get a chance, because I don't have internet access right now.

Why is there such a lack of interest in multiplayer?
