the campaign mode thing is actually really fun
oh and getting to the mun and back with only default parts is a pain in the ass, all i've managed to do is to get a close fly-by of it
still got me 120 points from a single trip

I only use the default parts, and it's easy to land on the Mun. You rascals and your OP custom parts.

Only 120 fuel is enough with a small 1-man lander to return. Hell, even 4 rcs thrusters cut it. Getting there is the main challenge. I recommend 3+3+3+3+1 orange fuel tanks in a + shape, with asparagus staging. Should be more than enough to land a 3-man 2-stage lander on Duna even.
points =/= fuel?? i meant the points you earn from trips, the points you use to unlock the parts in the research tree
career mode btw

oh my loving god are you serious
close to my birthday and I loving BUY IT THEN THIS stuff HAPPENS

So I just bought the game, did some basic research and orbiting, and am kinda stuck on what to do next. Should I orbit the moon? Or should I save up with more research?

I've made return trips from Laythe with default parts...

I don't understand how to get to the moon and what do all of the maneuvers do?

Your points being 120 and the required amount for a return from the moon are coincidentally the same.

it was late at night for some reason i thought it was spelled exited

I kind of have a feeling that this topic needs a new OP, and unless zack is willing to update, a new topic. The information is outdated by about two years, and even though you guys have been consistently posting, I think it would be nice to have a nicer and more detailed OP.

I'd be willing to make a new topic if it were agreed that a new one would be in order.

I kinda know how to get in orbit, but I use mechjeb. SADLY, it won't work :/.

Anyone know why? I have batteries on it and stuff.
