crossbow to space
yesssssssssssss

Actually yes it does work because the KAS winches draw the bow back.

jokes on you guys it wont work cause when i draw i retract the ropes it just gets stuck instead of flinging the kerbal forwards

So I finally got the hang of space stations I think on my career mode. The first block was just a connector node and then I got a large fuel source stuck to it and a more rockety bit with three kerbs. I just shipped up a hitchhiker container to allow them out of the roosterpit to make it nicer, but the lag of all the stuff floating near eachother is getting a bit much. I hope to keep adding stuff to it like an observation deck but it gets laggier the more things I stick on. D:

Thanks that reminded me to ask what rover designs you guys have used. I just landed my first one on Eve, and while it was a success overall, there were a few issues I have to tweak before the next launch. Also, I'm doing the science career mode, so that should explain why I couldn't build a giant elaborate rover.

I like chilling with a tri-wheeled rover.

I tried to build a tri-wheel, do you have a picture I could work off of?

This is what I currently am working with for a... maybe 20km trek? Also this is obviously not the aforementioned tri-wheel attempt, lol.

Edit2: Ok, so those side wheels aren't that necessary to stabilization, so I removed 'em and now I can easily slot it through the lander's legs.

I had tri-wheel on my last computer; doing career and lost my space groove lol.

What I did was make a hot-dog roll (you know, long length short width) with a larger back wheel and two smaller front wheels.
The back one was the one that steered and the front where just there. I added some retractable stilts w/ wheels so it didn't flip over so it really wasn't "tri" but it was in theory.

Sounds interesting. I just altered the rover and tried it on Minimus. Let's just say, gravity may be important to drive low mass vehicles.

well
I spent about an hour designing a gigantic thing with b9 aerospace
it blew up on the launch pad
