Author Topic: Steam account suspended - Payment Dispute  (Read 5754 times)

True. People do take Sundays off.

Thing is, if I tell my mom I lost close to 400 dollars worth of games, she'll go ballistic and ask me where I got them all, thinking I've been using her credit card without her permission. But she knows that I don't do that.

She is skeptical about online purchases.
Wait, so you didn't use her card to buy games? If you bought games with your own card/from store, it should be easier to explain in that case.

I did use it. I have to wait for her to get back on Wednesday so she can trace the purchase records, one of which was Brink.

Steam is the only program I use that has a different password then everything else.

I'm guessing Brink was not purchased by you?

What I'm thinking, is that if this manbearhacker is actually stupid enoughto gift himself a game, you can just go to "manage gifts" and find out who the hacker is/his acquaintances are/is.

You did not read anything, did you?

Anyway, I can use the record for Brink to get my account back, seeing as how I purchased it with my mom right next to me.

Sorry for double posting, but how would I submit the payment records/information? Do I wait for them to email me?

If you have any retail games you have receipt with, take picture of the retail CD case, CD-Key and Receipt in one picture, and the support Ticket ID.

Rings, a general tip is that whenever you want to stop a payment on a game, do it through the game website and not through your bank account.

Game companies don't like seeing blocked charges because it means that they could be accepting stolen credit cards which is bad. My dumbass mom blocked charges from Puzzle Pirates when I was 11 and they permanently banned me.

No, I mean that my mom was getting regular charges from Steam itself. She had blocked them, so I gave them the information that the Steam thread recommended.

Does anybody know how long it might take the email to get here?

my steam password is actually pretty complicated, no body would guess it unless I had a keylogger virus. It incorporates the first initials and birthdays of my immediate family.

I am scared, this is the second thread today where someone claims to have his account compromised.

Yes, because everyone knows the birthdays and initials of his immediate family
