If you have cats they kill them automatically. And if it's indoors the dwarves will haul off the remains.

And if it's indoors the dwarves will haul off the remains.

But remember to make like a compost area, once the bodies settle, they start leaking miasma which makes the dwarves depressed.

The spinning Bekor's lower body strikes the Bride Of The Dusk Creature in the head, bruising the muscle, jamming the skull through the brain and tearing apart the brain!

Corpses are overpowered.

at what point do you actually start getting attacked by things?
I'm living in a fortified mountain base, and I want to fight stuff, but nothing has happened.
I think the area I chose was calm, does this mean I won't see any combat at all?

lol

What level is your throwing?

Press L, then select yourself. Then you can see on the left.

Also, I have two infected fingers, I think I'm going to amputate them with my spear.

I'm in a battle between a goblin army and my army of humans. I'm staying behind and throwing things.

Throw a rock that's only half a pound heavy

Break a goblin's left arm

How come I only started off with one miner? Digging takes forever.

You can assign who does what before you start your game, bro

Oh, didn't know that. I just created world with default parameters and hit play now. I'm trying to follow that tutorial posted early on in this thread.

It can take a while before the goblins take notice of you. The calm surroundings are just the wildlife.
After the first goblin ambush party/siege you can expect annual sieges. You can also seize elven caravans. After you do it enough they will get pissy and attack you. But in the mean time you will get lots of free items. :)
