I don't get why anyone ever liked that event - it always teleported me into the weirdest positions. :panda:
But, you can set it so you come out East, West, North or South...

Maybe it's to be more realistic? In real life doors are pretty tall, but Jvs doors barley fit the player.

It's still 4x wide. Larger scale players wouldn't fit.

The size of a blockhead is 3 units wide. It will fit a player at 1.25 size.

Even at that size it's barely taller than the normal blockhead.

Blockhead: 3x3x5
Blockhead at 1.25: 3.75x3.75x6.25
Size of Teledoor: 4x4x6.33

So then it's only good for two sizes and that's it.

I don't think height for the minifig is the reason.
