Author Topic: Boss Battles - Six years...  (Read 1984442 times)

Well, I am finally back on my feet with the electricity, and the internet. But there is still damages, big damages to be fixed around the Puna/Pahoa side of Hawai'i.

We are also expecting 3 more storms, 2 thunderstorms and a tropical storm (that's what my teacher said, at least). But it's good to be back! :D

How to survive your local storm (electricity not required)

Step 1: Charge tablet to 100% and keep on charger.
Step 2: Download hours on prons on tablet.
Step 3: Gather yourself and all family pets into a small windowless bathroom.
Step 4: Listen to prons on full volume whilst storm raging.

I didn't include Event_Variables because we've been phasing those out of the maps. There should be no VCE in your builds.

Variable events work sporadically on the server and have been time-tested to be too unreliable to use in Boss Battles.

Is the gamemode suppose to make it so we only can have 100 emitters/lights?
Because I can't keep the emitters and lights when i'm making the map, the example map uses up all 100 emitters.

Just finished making a minimap for an upcoming map called Doom Desert. I'll explain the features of the map.

Temple of Luck
Known as the Normals Spawn, it's big enough to have the Boss start fights in the Temple. Of course the Normals will spawn with a 5 second spawn protection, do you think I'm an idiot? The Temple has an underground room that contains the Fountain of Luck, which the Normals need to defend from the Boss. The underground room has a few traps that would get activated by the Boss, but will not trigger upon the touch of a Normal. The Fountain of Luck is the source of life, meaning that every second, a Normal will gains 1 health when they're in the Temple. Surely it may seem low for healing, but it's better than not having health regeneration. However, if the Boss manages to get into the Fountain of Luck, the Boss can destroy the fountain, leaving the point of staying at the temple pointless. It would also summon 5 Undead Normals near the Temple, as the Undead Normals have less health and slower than the average Normal. However, they are Runners, making gameplay more tricky. Though they may attack Normals, they can sometimes attack the Boss.

(NOTE: I'm not sure how would the regeneration work, because if I use zone brick events, the regeneration would pick a random player if there are more than one player inside. On top of that, I'm not sure if I can make it invalid for the Boss either.)
