Three blinding, deafening explosions ring out from three major cities in New Scandinavia. Millions scream as their skin melts away as a cloud of dust, ash and fire spreads out.
The Tharshan Commissariat calls a nationwide rally of all people outside of the mothership. A solemn procession camped outside the main entrance. Enemies reconciled, people shared their prized possessions, the guards took off their armor and threw down their arms. All over was the communal embrace of brotherhood and friendship. As dusk settled, a Commissar took the podium.
"My fellow countrymen, as you have all seen in the sky, an arc of light flew overhead. We don't know what it is or what it shall do. We have called this nationwide rally, under the assumption of the worst. Our country is on the edge of oblivion, facing extinction. We will not give our enemies the satisfaction of war and violence. We will not give them the satisfaction of us stooping down to their..."
The Commissar stopped his speech. He seemed to be hesitating...
"Who am I kidding. Today is the day that we show the world that we shall not go down without a fight! We will not step into the abyss of destruction without dragging our aggressors with us!" The Commissar thrusts his fist into the air, "Tonight is the night when we broke our silence and we cried, 'We will not go quietly into the night, we will not die without a fight!' Tonight is the night when we rise up as one and tell the world, "forget YOU!"
At once the crowd raised their arms and fists into the air. The air was split with cheering crowds as everyone prepared for war. Men, women, and children picked up their arms, ready to lay down their lives in the face of extinction and tyranny. Every race, creed, ethnicity was one that night as the Tharshan crowds shouted the "forget you!" that was heard around the world.
Tharsha has declared war on New Australia
The militarized population has been deployed to New Australia and is en route, carried on Tharsha's navy and transport shuttles. Two shuttles are in orbit providing recon, the ISS has been evacuated.
