I just got it too, and here's my advice. Start a co-op bot match and play as whoever the forget you want. People have been pretty chill from what I've seen.

Don't play Invoker until you've got more of an understanding of the game.

I know, right? Took me a few games to remember all his combos, but then I actually played a game... that was fun. So much fun. And by that I mean horrible.

I've only played him twice...first time I tried Exort/Quas and I didn't really have a good time. Quas/Wex went better, I actually managed a positive score and we almost won (shut down in lane by a Drow), but my timing was off.

I go Exort Quas all the time.

Rush to get two firs spirits, then you just cold snap the stuff out of em, Ice wall helps too.

Tip: Don't go Quas Exort.

You should generally go Quas until it hits 4, then put points into Wex. Throw a point or two into Exort every once in a while so your spells are a bit more rounded. Obviously this can be changed as you see fit, but it's a pretty reliable and useful Invoker build.

Seriously that lane was dreadful, Visage + Slark too hard, Then wantless sitting there at bottom going NA IS FINE when everything but his lane is going to hell.

Krob was actually beating me in lane too, not leveling Quas meant I didn't have Cold Snap to rely on.

I missed every other Sun Strike though, and that Slark wouldn't let me forget it.

Next time captains mode. - Also you said you didn't use skype much, What's your normal voice chat thing? I normally use mumble but i can't host a server with 5 people in it reliably.

When I played with the other friends, I was on their Mumble...sometimes I use this one TS3 for another game, but usually I'm using the in-game voice chat.

I'm also always on Skype - that's just a second account I made for gaming purposes (first account is more personal).
