How come a lot of the champions names sound like a role/class/job (you know what i mean) not like a legit name

They actually have both. For example, Magina, the Anti-Mage, Rubick, the Grand Magus and Tequoia, Nature's Prophet. Most are referred as only their title or name though because saying AM is easier than saying Magina.
