So, I've had a cup of plastic polymer sitting on my desk for a while. We made it in our last chemistry lab for fun, and I filled it with gold glitter.
It's completely 100% water free, and is nothing but plastic.

So I took a peek at it today because it's been on my desk for a while, and there's like, mold growing on it?
How can it survive on plastic? I'll be taking it into class again to get it checked out.

The little strands certainly look cool though.

I've been taking some pictures with my dad's Pentax K10D.

I went walking around the neighborhood on Saturday and took a few photos with my D5000.

I also have a few photos I took in New York if anyone's interested

I also have a few photos I took in New York if anyone's interested
I'd love to see those.
If only I lived somewhere visually nice, I live in a small, repetitive village.

does anyone have/use the sigma 18-35mm f/1.8?

looks like a fantastic lens
I know this is late but
I got looked that up and god damn that's expensive
I have a fixed 35mm f1.8 that I'm happy with and it was only $140
I haven't found myself needing a wider angle than that at wide aperture

anyways here's some of the very few not furry-related photos I've taken

it's a flower
there's not much to say about it

an arctic fox at como zoo
was hard to get a clear shot at because of the fence and plants, but I think I did the best I could

a penguin, also at como zoo

my dad's dog
i wished i moved some of the leaves

long exposure without a tripod = rip

Fantastic. I personally love the leaves

love it, what sort of grading process did this go through?

By grading process, do you mean cinematic imagery grading process?  Or did you mean just how I judged the area I took the photo in?

For the first one, I just kinda goofed around in photoshop with the RAW image till I found a good fit for it from the original and by judging the area, I just was driving around for an hour or so and by the industrial park area I took this one I just pulled over and was like yeah I have a good view here, took a bunch and this one was just a winner out of a few dozen.

Wasn't that one of the Cb's (Cumulonimbus cloud) with heavy thunderstorm(s)?

Love it. The leaves honestly add character to the composition, so to keep them was a blessing in disguise.

EDIT: I know that Bacon Pancakes requested my New York photos, so here are a few of them. I took a ton in the subway tunnels, but a good portion of them are underexposed beyond saving. These are the few that actually look decent.

Those are really nice, I was just imagining that woman in the penultimate picture turning round and seeing you taking pictures of her... I like how you find something stable, and get a picture of that, while other objects in the scene are moving around.

Thanks. Of all the photos I took of people in the subway, the first and second to last were the only decent two. I actually tried to use the flash to take a photo of a passing train uptown and instead popped the flash in some poor woman's face, which is when I gave up trying to take photos in the stations and on platforms.

I mostly took these with a Nikkor AF-S 18-200 VR f/3.5-5.6 and did a lot of standing still so people could just move around me.

Awesome, as said before, I wish I lived in a city, not a boring, repetitive city, I could take some cool photos like yours.

Behold... My ginger ninja:

ooh, kitty pictures! i have some of those

i wish i shot it in raw tho cuz i hate the color/white balance in the background
but this was right after i got the camera and i hadn't gone through all the settings yet

It's so funny when cats yawn, their mouths can open amazingly wide.

EDIT: Small section of my dad's mini studio (and my uncut nails).
