any tips/warnings? i've been told that denying doesn't exist and the teleport system is rly different, it seems like there's less metagame/team structure importance in general and it's more about microing against other players (not saying that's bad, just what i've heard)
This is so incredibly incorrect it almost hurts.

If you're serious about getting into league, talk to me, I'll help you get started. I've played a bit of dota (only enough to know how to play and know the differences between it and league). I'll tell you right now that besides denying, league is a lot harder than dota in a lot of aspects, though of course the same can be said about dota in comparison to league. In my opinion league is easier to read and maneuver, but much harder to play efficiently.

they do? good lord
Yeah. When I first picked up dota I was ready to consider my tower a safe haven since most people cant take more than 3-4 shots early game in league. Then I learned that pudge doesn't give a forget.

really? the only thing i've heard is that it's less about strategy and more about playing better as your individual hero

add me on steam, daedalus_invent. i dunno if i'm serious about getting into league but i'd at least like to give it a shot before i criticize it

haha o pudge. i remember getting really mad at pudge when i first started. i don't see anyone play him anymore though, he's fairly easy to counter

I've played both games for about 2 years and I have to say that league is a lot easier than dota in almost every way

it kinda seems that way tbh
but I COULD BE WRONG, BOUT 2 FIND OUT

That's just how I feel about it. League is way too cookie cutter for it to be difficult in my opinion. Runes and masteries also make the game dumb and can provide an advantage over someone that doesn't have them or has the wrong ones.

Runes and masteries aren't terrible, it just means that you have to put in the time and effort to either be good or get to level 30
You just have to think about it or google it if you're really unsure

i've played both as well and could say that league is easier, though I haven't delved into dota 2 too much
the turn rate in that game kills me man i hate it

the turn rate in that game kills me man i hate it
it looks so gross in league though :s

okay so i just played my first round
i played as Jinx
first impressions:
- i expected to hate the graphics, and i do, but whatever mane, at least they're consistent
- having a turn rate of 0 looks really twitchy and weird.
- why is there a launcher menu to start a match :/
- i like the fact that using level ups is easier, there's just a big ol plus button on top of the ability. i guess in dota 2 you can hotkey it, but whatever, this is visually nice
- WHY ARENT ALL THE CHARACTERS AVAILABLE am i doing something wrong
- not denying feels... feels dirty. i stood in front of my pixel-health tower crying for a few seconds
- runes and masteries are, in my opinion, the worst mechanic in any moba
- the voice acting is pretty fun, the champions all feel really unique
- one thing i noticed about league that's harder than dota is that there are a lot more abilities that fire off in whatever direction you click, so you have to really time them to hit an enemy. there are a bunch in dota as well, but from what i saw, a lot more in league
- can you not creep block in league or am i doing something wrong
- inhibitors respawn? whwhwhhaaattttt
- i like the recall spell but it's weird that you're not able to buy stuff away from the shop, also no teleport scrolls :(
- wow towers hit hard, it seems too easy to just hide below them

overall a solid experience, would attempt to get good at

- WHY ARENT ALL THE CHARACTERS AVAILABLE am i doing something wrong

You have to buy every single champion with ip or rp. Every week there are 10 free champions that you can play.

I agree

League has a billion skill shots
- can you not creep block in league or am i doing something wrong

Creep blocking isn't a thing in this game
- inhibitors respawn? whwhwhhaaattttt

Yes
- i like the recall spell but it's weird that you're not able to buy stuff away from the shop, also no teleport scrolls :(

You'll get used to it eventually

1. oh that's silly :(
2. :(
3. it's actually pretty cool, one of the main reasons i'm gonna keep playing
4. D:
5. :s
6. fair enough

If inhibitors didn't respawn the disadvantage they create would be simply unworkable

that's the point D:
in dota, when you're raxed, you're limited to keeping an eye on that lane to make sure it doesn't get wrecked. that's why raxing is so important

I'd say that it's a good thing because it makes certain that there isn't any one condition that means that the game is won or lost. You can always come back, capitalize on mistakes, outplay, etc.

To be fair though, in League, the super minion does a gazillion damage and has a billion damage. The minions do like 0 damage to it and die extremely fast. Permanently dead inhibs wouldn't really work in the game.
