I'm disappointed that yogventures got in, That game doesn't look in any way unique or fun, The only reason it did is because they got their million+ fanbase to vote on it.
Sadly you can't really hold them in contempt.
Greenlight is just as much for getting "indie" games on that were always going to be successful, as it is for getting new games with no current market or fanbase.
YogVentures doesn't need the additional money and fanbase via Steam for it to be a success. It would get that just via Yogscast fans. But it's equally entitled to apply for entry to Steam via Greenlight.
And the fact that it has a massive following just means it's gonna be guaranteed to get on, as will any other games that come from big backgrounds.
But, nevermind! We weren't entirely expecting to get in first round.
We've jumped up 21 spaces immediately though. So long as we can maintain interest in Blockland and continue to spread the word around as much as possible, then we've got a better chance next time.
Just because we didn't get in now doesn't mean we won't later.
