The current headset I have is a Zowie Hammer. It's been the most durable headset I've ever owned, every single previous one I've owned has had the ear pieces snap from the head band. It's been pretty much great but the mic is really awkward, it's way to close to either my mouth or my nose and picks up a lot of my breathing.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a headset using mostly metal to connect the ear pieces to headset that have a mic that I can adjust the distance of so it's not picking up all my breathing. I would go the separate mic root but I don't feel like having to keep it setup on my desk while I use it.

I would like to keep it under $125 and I'm not really concerned with the sound quality of the headphones since I have a separate sound card and only use it for communication. As for the mic, if it's not complete stuff I'm happy. I just want something I can adjust away from my face a little better.

Depends, what does he plan on playing? "Gaming PC" is very vagues, because some people love to stream and play high end games, while others stay away from streaming and play lower end games.
Minecraft, ArmA 3, BF4, etc. Obviously doesn't need to run ultra, just at least medium to high settings.

oh god im not sure if this will suffice part of the build but here:

goddamn that came out looking terrible
it was supposed to look like this

Well it doesn't have Windows or thr case, and for some reason you are using last generation graphics card.

The build I suggested would be far more than enough. I noticed I forgot a storage drive, you could cut about $60 off the GPU for a really cheap hard drive and the GPU would still be plenty for what he wants to do.

He's using a cheap gpu because your friend is cheaping out.

would a ~2 year old 670 4 GB for $140ish be a good deal?

yes
aren't they over like $200

I'm using a 670 and it still handles everything I throw at it really well. I'm sure new cards are way better but for pretty much everything current it's more than good enough. As for the price I have no clue. Go check around on ebay and stuff to see what the going price of a used one is.

i wish video memory was done this way :D
i wanna just pop in a very fast stick of 12g vram

Remember that whole PC post I made about building my own?
My mom doesn't approve because of reasons so I am just going to buy one from amazon.
So wich GPU is better?
The NVIDIA GT 630 2GB Graphics Card
or the AMD Radeon HD 8570d
Or the ATI Radeon HD 8470D Graphics

The 630, but make sure its in the $50 range. I bought the $100 dollar one a while back before i knew anything about video cards. Reason why its $100? it has 4GB of ram.

Well its This pc build. This one "only" has 2 gigs of ram.

Whell its This pc build. This one "only" has 2 gigs of ram.

Its just a generic description of it. No Asus or evga or anything, just "Nvidia"

I thought the companies (Nvidia and AMD) dont sell their video cards directly. I thought it had to go through another company cause reasons.

Anyway, I can kinda vouch for it. Had iot for about a year and it upgraded from integrated (though Intel's HD 4600 graphics are on par with it)
Was able to play quite a few games without too much video lag (Payday 1) but still couldn't play newer games. You can play TF2 on higher settings though

My only complait with the one i got was that it was loud and overheated. Dont expect to play for a long time on some intessive games. Multiple times the card has crashed from heat when playing TF2 MVM or Castle Crashers.

How 'bout this?
I get lots of other cool stuff with it, keyboard is qwerty tough :/
Anyway is the GPU ok?
