I want this thing to last for a very long time.

Why would you bother getting a 4gb version of the 770... You don't need that much vram for only two 1080p screens

cuz its only the extra like 40 bucks.

if you are already paying 400 dollars, a tiny upgrade isnt all that bad.

Another question to go with this, would this be able to run 2 23'' 1920x1080p screens?

I would consider a 3rd party cooler for the CPU. Intel CPU coolers can run very hot during intense tasks and will decrease the life of the processor. If you want it to last a while consider getting another cooler.

In regards to powering the 2 monitors, I would suggest a GPU with as much VRAM without your budget. Your selection of the 770 should do you just fine.

I'm already out of my budget by a few hundred, so water cooling isn't really going to happen. Would an extra like 30 or 40$ for a better heat sync work?

closed-loop water cooling is pretty much for idiots so a giant radiator is the only option. you could go for the most popular one, cooler master 212 evo.

Would that fan be the same size as the one that comes with this processor? Can't seem to find size for the fan anywhere http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504

lol no 3rd party radiators are pretty big
and why are you getting the 3570, get the latest gen lga 1150 4670k

First time building a new computer and buying intel stuff, so I'm slightly confused.

Judging by you suggesting that processor I'm assuming that fan would fit?

lol I never implied watercooling in my statement but w/e.

The way fans and coolers work is based upon the CPU socket type on the motherboard. The new Haswell chipset, the one Titanium Man is referring to, uses an LGA 1150 socket. So any cooler that says 1150 on it is compatible, and your case is more than large enough to fit it. The only problem I see with this is that because you are selecting RAM that are very tall, it will most likely interfere with the placement of the cooler.

yeah it ain't too bad
and damn, RAM prices skyrocketed recently, you could buy good 16gb of ram for 100 2 years ago

get a better fan, like the 212 evo

Not worth it imo, $20+ more dollars + a more expensive motherboard + broadwell isn't going to make you upgrade from haswell, and you barely get anything in return

you'll be able to upgrade to the 14nm broadwell family in the future with LGA 1150. 50 more bucks is probably worth it if you have the ability to upgrade to the next family
