wouldn't sandy bridge, ivy bridge, and haswell be the respective comparisons for architectures?
Depends on the specific definition of architectures you're using. Technically, the most correct way to describe an architecture is with both, such as haswell i3 or ivy bridge i7. I would personally relate named architectures (haswell etc) to something more like the manufacturing process than the actual die design in terms of cores/hyperthreading.

Have you tried something with VGA?
Why would VGA specifically yield different results from HDMI

Have you tried something with VGA?

No but I don't have a VGA cord

Could be the HDMI port too is what I was getting at.

If you have a older monitor that'll have a VGA on it.

i just tried it but it didn't work either.

Sounds like a messed up GPU in that case.

The GPU is a Radeon HD 7600g. An integrated GPU.

What I'm saying is that it may be broke.

my friend is wanting to upgrade her comp after i did mine.

shes stuck between a regular gtx660 or a gtx770 4g, like i use.

obviously we know what one is better. but its a price to power ratio we are shopping at.
how MUCH better is the 770 4g? its pretty much twice the price.
looking at specs alone isnt all that helpful x.x

a 770 is going to last a lot longer than a 660 will
there'll eventually be that one nice looking game that you want to run great and you'll be just short of it
i looked and found a neat graph though

kinda outdated but still shows how it'll be
i'd spend more money for a card but if gaming isn't what you like to do the most then get the 660

will 660 really age that quickly?
im usually about spending more money though. i hate upgrading often

Cleaned up and ready for BF4

I would not be taking advice on computers from Alyx Vance, but that's just me.

Well, my help is better than no help. I'm not as bad with computers as you may think.

I'm not really sure if this belongs here or not, but are the apple download servers really slow for anyone or is it just me?
