Sorry, it's just that people's been using that exact same argument seriously to defend Windows 8 since it came out three years ago - Poe's law and all.
Windows 8 Was different and rumors that leaked about the start menu being removed ruined it and gave it a terrible rep, 8.1 did damage control but the damage was still done, in Windows 8 the start menu was never removed, it was just made fullscreen and re-designed, but when people heard the leak that the start menu was removed, people started to panic and make rumors that eventually got too big and started to damage the rep.
But I still think that Windows 10 is what windows 8 should of been, the sudden change of graphics and re-design of the start menu was too much for people to take in, if Microsoft would of used a start menu much like the one in 10 in windows 8 all of the damage would of been non-existant.
The PC settings app annoys me. I much prefer control panel and use it regularly, so I probably won't update for now.
Like I said in the above post, Control Panel is still here, just gutted and less powerful, by Redstone it will be gone most likely though.
