Thanks all for the recommendations! I decided to get myself the 1060 you guys mentioned, I also decided to go a bit overboard and grab myself and extra 8GB of RAM for insurance.

>still having stuffty wifi problems because atheros are stuff cards and the driver hasnt even been updated for windows 10
>Actually in wrong and acer doesnt even have the updated driver on their site

what?

what?

dont put windows 10 on things that dont support windows 10 and then complain about their drivers not being updated

Except win10 came with the pc
Maybe they shouldnt put outdated hardware on modern OS's
Wew lad

>also not using windows 10 in 2016

windows 10 isnt going to be put on hardware that cant support it so either you bought a wifi adapter that doesnt support windows 10 or windows 10 was put on the pc by a third party

"Ah hell yeah lets build a windows 10 laptop and put outdated hardware in there. Fantastic idea!" - Acer

I didnt pick the hardware and im p sure windows 10 was put on there by acer, considerig the billion loving acer bloatware stuff that came with it.

okay and why didnt you call support saying that your wifi card isnt working because of driver issues

and also why do you need "acer" drivers

get the drivers for the card itself

i dont get "zotac" drivers for my 970 just because zotac made the heatsink on it

Because I bought it from acer and the site has all the drivers on a single page to save time so iduno you download every driver there like every human being would

>calling support when the internet is a thing
>callig support and waste money while they will most likely rederict you to a stuffty hotfix that doesnt even work like others with the same problem did.

Atheros doesnt have a driver download, or I didnt find anything
And I downloaded the driver from Lenevo's page as I said before.

Also gpu is a whole lot different then a wireless adapter

My friend had a laptop that got forgeted up when we installed the newest drivers. Installing the drivers from the laptop brands site fixed it.

It will run, but not very well. Intels IGPs have always been sub-par for gaming, especially back then. If you're not going to play anything more demanding than TrackMania you can get by with a GTX 1050 for $110: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/G3H48d/zotac-geforce-gtx-1050-2gb-mini-video-card-zt-p10500a-10l
It'll easily run the game on max settings at way above 60 fps.

yeah a gtx 1050 or 1050ti (non OC) will work perfectly for that price range
