I personally don't really like it either. I don't MIND it. But it's definitely not something I want to see in every server.

It also might take away new players. Because younger players might buy the game and play single player without noticing it enabled and then boom.

Gore

Like I posted on the main thread of the revision, we now qualify for a M rating.
Hey genius, it's an ADD-ON. It's just been placed to automatically download, that's the only difference. And also, ESRB doesn't rate online play.

Uh, you can play this offline.

Yea I totally like it when people don't read the next post.

Everything is automatically downloaded when you launch Blockland.

If blood and gore is in racing gamemode, you can't remove it
yes you can.

Server_VehicleGore

You can disable it when you start up a server. It isn't on by default.

While I  think it's a nice addition, you're right. It's a game with practically Legos™, not realistic characters.

This is going to need to be changed:

Q: Is Blockland appropriate for children?

A:
The single player game contains no graphic violence or adult content, and the online environment is fairly clean as well. However, since other users are free to modify their game, this cannot be guaranteed.

The biggest concern is the chat room like environment of playing online. There is automatic curse word filtering, but it's not possible to filter everything. If you're concerned about inappropriate language, I would recommend disabling the chat feature entirely.

Anyways, I don't see what you're all complaining about. The blood and gore only occurs if you're killed by a vehicle, it's also disabled by default, and only used in one default gamemode. The normal Blood and Gore Mod - which worked for any kind of death - has been available for a long time, and people have always had the option of using it in their server. I don't see what the fuss is all about. You're getting riled up over some plastic red gibs, and terribly animated blood - incomparable to other games that have graphic gore all over the place, and that kids trick their parents into buying for them.

Its a game though, it doesn't have to make sense, anyways It can always be replaced with brick blood.

Disabling the chat feature is the worst thing you could ever do.
Not being able to communicate means noone can tell you anything, explain how X works, blah, blah, blah.

I edited Amade's blood and gore mod to spawn less chunks, have them and the player's body be colored white and not emit any particles except the player's body which emits the yellow dots like the admin camera does before disappearing

Probably not worth releasing since the vehicle gore can be disabled, but i just mostly wanted to see if i actually knew how to do such a thing

Electrk mentioned in another topic it's possible to retrieve the player's colors and decals and apply them.

Actually, I take back what I said about decals--I'm not sure about that. Colors are definitely possible though.

Our spray can label and tank may give us a T for teen.

exactly. The censor is crap and every 2 lines some one is using profanity. Bug-me-not would fix that, though.

A"Tutor" program/clan could be useful.

This mod I believe should not be default or in blockland. My dad gets mad every time he sees me playing on a server with it. I don't like it either. We should have like everyone else falling apart deaths. It can't be impossible to make something like that. Finding what colors and decals the player is wearing is not impossible.

The mod sets the decal to AAA-None but doesn't include the face, thus keeping that as the one the player uses, so most likely, if you were to remove the part that changes the decal, it will leave it as the player's decal
