i seriously dont understand why anyone would ever make their base on a world

i mean you can set home to that world and travel blah blah blah but im pretty sure others and i use 'set home' just to set to the most interesting recent planet we found and our 'home' will change every couple of days

i'm building my base on a planet 'cause i spawn in all of my items and it looks purdy,,,

why do people live on their planets, isn't living on ships more efficient?

If you love playing by yourself, sure.

But uh, if you're ever playing on public servers.
*More fun building a village than a shipbase.
*People can't warp to your home. People can warp to your ship. People can take things.
*It's a game, have fun, stop being boring, stop metagaming, why do people complain about league meta then metagame in every single other game they play, build a house on an actual planet, be creative

More specifically on the "you can just set home to any interesting planet" why not just fly to another interesting planet? Fuel is super easy to get.

If you love playing by yourself, sure.

I do play with other people. I'd just rather be able to craft stuff on my ship when I'm exploring another planet than have to fly all the way across the galaxy and waste fuel to get to a crafting station before flying all the way back to where I was before.

i build a small base to just to use up the things that i dont want on me but i dont want to throw away
nothing is stored in my ship, only crafting stations are in it

that seems like a reason to support making your home in your ship, not the other way around. and i'm not sure that's correct either.

if you let other people into your ship that's your fault, because you let them in your party, otherwise there is a 0% chance that anyone can take stuff from there.
if you are in a party of people you know won't steal from you then you're most likely sharing a planet base with your friends anyways, so them stealing from your base would basically be them stealing from themselves.
if you're in a public server with loads and loads of people, that doesn't make it impossible to find your home base planet either; i mean sure the chances are essentially 0% as well, but if someone happened to travel to your planet base by sheer coincidence then you'd still get robbed.

you can set a home planet, and then you'll be able to teleport there from anywhere for free
