Draconian forums censorship, fear, a bit of hugboxing. The /sbg/ threads on 4chan would constantly rail on Chucklefish for breaking promises and being all around incompetent, until they all died out entirely. Not sure about reddit. You'll still catch a few pockets of people who've been disappointed time and time again by the lack of "fast and thick" updates ("B-but people complained about the fast updates" is a retort I see a lot.)
