I was never much a fan of the classic style using the ASCII characters, I thought it was too bland. I think this version is a lot more appealing, and I really like the rich colors you're using.

i liked the ascii characters, it was really interesting and original

is this made in torque?

i also liked the ascii characters, but it's your game, do whatever you want with it.

The original design was really cool.
The new version is cool too.

Glad to see that you're still working on it!

Can we still use the old version when the new one comes out?

Are we keeping the old arcade style?
like see how far you can go then reset?

There will be an ending, but it's not something you'll be able to achieve easily.

Edit: Think in terms of spelunky, dungeons of dredmore, and faster than light.

You can still switch to the ascii style, the monsters, characters, and dungeon are all re-skinnable.

By default the game will include at least two skin sets, the ascii and a more conventional sprite set.

whoa, looks hot Rot.

Is the game going to have saving and a long story? Or will you have to play it all in one sitting?
Maybe a mode for both? I'm excited to hear about this. The newer version looks great.

Awesome, can't wait to play it!

Looking good! Can we host servers now?

So will this game be under the "1-Step games (or Step-1 games)" company?

this looks amazing

are we ever going to be able to mod this and host our own servers though?

This.
Also, map editor, possibly?

I don't see why it would be since it's Badspot's company. I don't think he has any official employees.
