Either this or a darkened fade.

I'm trying to figure out a simple way to signify what room you spawned in,

I tried putting a long ladder and a short ladder both look bad and confusing.

You guys got any ideas?

I'd say maybe put a bed in or something.

I messed around with a LoZ style lock on camera, this doesn't actually fit in the gameplay at all but it was fun to make.

An alternative could be that when you enter a new level there's an animation of your character (and team) falling down from the sky and landing on the ground.
When you land you cause the ground to crack, like an impact mark.
So cracked tiles could indicate that you started there?

This is the music I was using as the main menu music, I was trying to see if this guy existed and I could contact him.

Kind of bummed out that it doesn't seem possible, I was hoping to use this music.

There's a link to their website, which no longer exists but can be accessed with the wayback machine

Perhaps some of us could take a stab at making a similar theme.
