In response to Anti-Block's application:
My impression of the build as a whole is that it isn't finished yet. The first thing that strikes me is that you only have terrain on one side of the castle and the courtyard looks way too empty. On further inspection, the corners of the wall caught my attention. They aren't properly aligned with the rest of the wall, they are shifted up or down by a plate. I don't know if that is intentionally, but it looks weird. They also don't have nice supports like the rest of the wall, which makes the whole structure look very weak. It also seems like you forgot to build the inner part of the roof. In other words: fix those corners!!
Another thing that bothers me is that you seemed to have gone lazy and duplicated the walls, as 3 out of 4 walls are identical. They look like placeholders, but not like a final product. Replace the walls by something else, and it will look much better. For example, you could put a small monastry / temple on the east end, while the west end is expanded to include a nice little japanese garden. That way, you'll get some more variation and asymmetry into your build. Some more suggestions include a small pond on the outside, including a small gazebo. And for added contrast, how would things look with a wooden floor instead of the boring red in the surrounding walls? As you see, the possibilities for expansion are endless!
Now that I've scared you with all the critique, let me say some nice things about the build as well. First of: you're technique is good! Especially that gate is very beautiful. It shows that you've understood the essence of traditional japanese architecture, and you manage to put it into bricks as well. The curvature of the roofs is well executed! You also seem to know a bit or two about terrain building, which is nice.
In conclusion: this is a very good build, but it is not quite finished yet. It has a lot of potential, and it could easily become one of the best builds of its kind if done right. That would require a lot more work though. You're definately on the right path, but we need more of it. Not because of the 50k brick rule (which I don't see a necessity), but because the build needs more variation and a bit of polishing.
As of now, I give it a 6/10
