My new project: Utopia city!

A city with various skyscrapers, more or less random. Basically, Seattle2.

Very nice. I've always loved how you make the buildings the shape of the space you have available and don't avoid it because it might be more difficult. (Building the beige skyscraper in the shape of the < instead of just making it rectangular.)

Yes, it's the Flatiron building, but you know it's harder to build the Fisher Building. Because FB is art deco one, it make things ways more complicated! - Its mayan architecture based anyway (lol)

Initial project (thanks to Lordy Lord): http://criticaldetroit.org/unbuilt-detroit/

Art Deco:

Art Deco, or Deco, is an influential visual arts design style which first appeared in France during the 1920s, flourished internationally during the 30s and 40s, then waned in the post-World War II era. It is an eclectic style that combines traditional craft motifs with Machine Age imagery and materials. The style is often characterized by rich colors, bold geometric shapes, and lavish ornamentation.
Deco emerged from the Interwar period when rapid industrialization was transforming culture. One of its major attributes is an embrace of technology. This distinguishes Deco from the organic motifs favored by its predecessor Art Nouveau.
Historian Bevis Hillier defined Art Deco as "an assertively modern style... ran to symmetry rather than asymmetry, and to the rectilinear rather than the curvilinear; it responded to the demands of the machine and of new material... the requirements of mass production."
During its heyday Art Deco represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress.

I like those buildings. I think the art deco style would fit well in Blockland. That triangular building is well executed, even though those kind of shapes always look a little weird in Blockland. Arghh... we should have free rotation around all 3 axes, instead of being limited by a stupid grid. Imagine all the possibilities!!

aw man sylvanor you got rid of my lemonade stand

i thought art deco, what with the browns

I like the Art Deco style.

I build Art Deco all the time accept into clan pls

I really question the point of the whole "red box" I mean its not like a person in this clan looses skill over time. Infact they should only gain in experience.

Honestly, I don't find the whole color system necessary at all. But if Syl likes it, I find no reason to abolish it. You could lose some skill tho if you've been inactive for a while, however people wll not be allowed to stay in the clan anyways if they're inactive.

this.

Also, i am very proud to have Lordy Lord in our clan, he helped me a lot with my towers and i am kinda amazed by the details. And... He builds very fast!!!

Also, anyone check the NEWS on Cohortteam.com sometimes?

Maybe you could create some kind of archive if possible, instead of stacking news to eternity.

its more complicated than you imagine. It will requier to make a more advanced database, and personally, it will requier to redo all ;P, just read the latest new, ill see what i can do.

Screw that idea then.

But you could perhaps just simply erase old news. 2 months old news are removed or something.

edit: noticed the "News" title gets shiny when you move the cursor over it but it isn't interactive. Remove the shiny or make it usable.

I know, i will make it usable to an archive page, and then, only the 5 most recent news will be shown, no?

lol, as soon as i saw the build before this i thought "where's lordy?"

and there he is!
