as someone who is 2 metres tall, i'll say it is a little more difficult.

shorter people have two advantages. the first is that they have a smaller range of motion on most exercises, and that the shorter pivot points on their joints just generally means that the weight isn't compounded as much as opposed to taller people. i.e.  the length between my wrist and my elbow is huge, so something like a pullup or barbell curl actually requires more effort even if me and a shorter guy were to do the same weight

the second is that they'll just always look better because of how the gains are spread over their body. my biceps are also very long, so even though i can curl more than most of my buddies, my biceps are smaller (but longer!).

being tall isn't an excuse though, in the end we can still end up with a fantastic physique if the effort is there. the only thing we have on short guys is that once we actually do get big, we can look like absolute bloody titans because of the height

What do you do for core? I just throw in somestuff on my upperbody days
ive posted some stuff earlier here:

• deadlifts
• crunches
• knee raises
• leg raises
• v-ups
• bicycle crunches
• pull-ups


I'm still getting really good beginner gains. It's a nice pace but it feels a bit too fast. I'm probably gonna sign up for a gym this week.

My choices are 24 Hour, LA Fitness, or Gold's Gym.
Which is "best"?

go to each of them and see?

if you have the money, consider just buying yourself the equipment too. i spent like $1000 all up and i've got a power rack, barbell + 230kg of weights, preacher bench, ez curl bb, etc

and to date, saved about $1000 that i would have spent on a gym membership

I'm not sure, but I go to 24 Hour and I enjoy it.

I'm 6'6 and look like a scrawny forget but when you actually measure my arms they're like 15 inches which isn't huge but a guy 5'5 with 15 inch biceps is gonna look pretty beefy while I look DYEL. I currently do BB curls with 110 3x8 which is more than most people I see at the gym. Basically being tall means you will always look lankier and scrawnier than a short guy at equal strength.

That's the one I'm leaning towards.

Warning: I look like a loving friend and have tiny biceps, but I'm working on it. This is 2 weeks of "work"



^^look at this stuffty left arm, my left arm used to be bigger than my right so I did an extra 20 curls on my right and now this is the difference. /sigh


^lol @ haven't worked on core muscles at all (can anyone tell me a good ab/core workout that I can do at home? I heard chin ups were good and I've been doing lots of those.) (also will shave chest hair when I have wider pecs and if/when my teenage gyno disappears)

What should I work on? I would have included pics of my #shredded legs but I have no mirrors that are ground level and don't feel like falling off a sink.
Any criticism helps.
