Oddly, although GTA Online can be linked at the base, the URL still ends up an offshoot of GTA V's pages. Maybe it's just part of GTA V, but some special way?

I'm pretty sure GTA V's name for Online is just GTA Online

The link redirects to http://www.rockstargames.com/V/GTAOnline

They might have done that to make it look professional. Most sites with links like that (Mostly found in advertisements) redirect to a really long link or something.

Update: Nvidia Senior PR Manager Bryan Del Rizzo has released the following statement for clarification regarding the statement:

“Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list. This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”

There is some leeway in the phrase “not intended to represent,” but “does not have information” seems pretty unambiguous. So it seems we may just be left with our best guess on the PC release date for now.
